The shades of cobalt blue on this Japanese matcha bowl evoke the movement of water, brought out by the brushstrokes the painter leaves behind. Hand-painted, each chawan carries subtle variations that add to its charm. Its light-colored interior sets off the vivid green of the matcha, while its wide shape makes it easy to work the chasen. Made in Japan, it suits both beginners and longtime devotees of the tea ceremony.
