In Japan, Izayoi refers to the moon on its sixteenth night, just past full. This matcha bowl evokes that nocturnal atmosphere with a deep blue glaze streaked with shimmering highlights and a visible brushstroke that adds to its handcrafted look. Its tall sides and wide opening make it easy to whisk matcha with a chasen. Made in Japan, this chawan brings a touch of mystery and refinement to the tea ritual.
